Motor Claims Handler

Full Time   Salary: £23,000 - £25,000

Our client is a well-established Accident Management firm based in Rochdale. Specialising in non-fault motor claims, providing services of Credit Hire, Repair & PI.


Key Focus:
You will be looking after the clients of existing business affiliates, assessing new accident referrals to ascertain liability and assist customers by constantly providing exceptional customer service. An excellent telephone manner and a high level of customer service is a must for this role.

You will be dealing with an individual caseload of claims from FNOL to Property return to Client or when settlement for the pre-accident value is received.


Key Tasks

  • Gather accurate and comprehensive claim information from the first contact
  • Investigate incident circumstances & obtain independent witness / CCTV evidence where available
  • Ensure costs are recoverable at all times
  • Instruct repairers from the company network as well as independent engineers to agree costs
  • Arrange booking in dates & suitable replacement vehicles for customers as per their need
  • Continue to monitor the repair throughout, ensuring any delays are reported
  • Provide regular updates to customers on the progress of their claim
  • Arrange for the customers property to be returned once repairs are complete as well as the return of the hire vehicle


What you will need:

  • Previous experience within a motor claims handling role
  • Exceptional communication and organisational skills
  • Excellent time management and good prioritising skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team and using your own initiative



  • Knowledge of ABI/GTA
  • Knowledge of Phonetic Alphabet
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Basic Understanding of Internet Technologies
