DMD recruitment an established health and social care recruiter that works with public and private sector organisations nationally is working with an established growing service in and around the Bury area looking to recruit a Support Worker that supports and maintains excellence of care.

Suitable candidates will have had experience supporting Adults or Children with Learning Disabilities and hold or be working towards NVQ Level 3 Health & Social Care or equivalent qualification. You will get involved in a range of different duties:
Reporting into the Team Leader, Shift Leader, Deputy Manager or Registered Manager
To ensure a warm, caring, secure environment is maintained at all times for the young person encouraging development within a range of different areas which include social interaction, physical, emotional, and moral development to allow the service user to live their daily lives creating a positive relationship.
Developing an honest and engaging relationship with the service users’ families and neighbouring partners.
Monitoring and reviewing each service users’ needs and development on a regular basis. Providing personal care and review the care plans for all residents.
If required working closely with the team preparing a service user for leaving the home in a planned and sensitive manner ready for their next steps in life and adulthood.
Ensuring that the service users’ privacy is maintained when washing or bathing at all times.
Getting involved in all aspects of Administration as required and attending key meetings.

Hours of Work
This is a permanent position on a shift rota basis including sleeps 7am - 3pm/ 3pm-10pm

Due to the nature of the role suitable candidates ideally be local or be able to commute to the Bury area. Suitable candidates will ideally have their own transport allowing easy access or be local to the area to be able to commit to the shift rotas.
