Support Worker, Stockport

Due to growth in services, our client has opportunities for dedicated and resilient Residential Support Workers for their Harmful Sexual Behaviour (HSB) Homes in Stockport.
Our client has two homes that deliver a specialist residential service for males and females, aged 8 – 18 years who present with inappropriate or harmful sexual behaviour (HSB). These Ofsted rated Good residential homes offer a therapeutic, nurturing and child-centred environment to our young people, supporting safe social integration and a non-judgemental approach.
The role
Our client is working in partnership with other specialists to adopt a holistic approach to children and young people who exhibit inappropriate and HS behaviour. Each young person has a tailored care package and risk assessment (this can include intense supervision) of young people to enable them to remain living within the community.
Ideal candidate:

  • Experience with working within the Good Lives Model supporting young people who display HSB.
  • You will also hold a level 3 in health and social care or equivalent.

This includes weekends, evenings, and potentially providing support on the young people’s annual holidays.
Full flexibility over 7 days is required (37.5 hours a week)
The salary offered to candidates who hold a QCF L3 or equivalent in Children and Young Person’s Workforce or equivalent is £17,116 for 37.5 hours
You will also be required to complete sleeps which at £60 per sleep can add a minimum of £5,500 onto your salary.
